A: The web site migration service provided by 3X Hosting is completely free and consists of moving all your files, databases and emails from your present hosting provider to your new web hosting account with us. We’ll also revise all the settings needed for your sites to be completely operational on our innovative cloud hosting platform.Our technicians are fully capable of transferring any kind of website. With years of experience in the industry, they are well–versed in the specificities of our hosting platform, our Control Panel as well as all other widely used Control Panels. For them, moving a custom–made web application with a lot of custom libraries is as elementary as moving a simple WordPress–based weblog.

A: While we can’t give you a precise time frame, because there are a lot of factors, including the physical size of the files and databases, the location of the current host’s server, the complexity of your site and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll do our best to migrate your site within 48h, and in certain cases – within 24h (when the website content is not very large).

A: We will need the login details for your old web hosting provider’s Control Panel as well as the web site’s name (domain name).

After we have completed the transfer, your site will be configured to work on our platform and we’ll alert you to preview it. If it is working properly, all you will have to do is change the NS records for your domain name. Your website will be transferred over to us without any downtime whatsoever.

A: Nah. Aside from your login info for the Control Panel, we will not require anything. We’ll never contact your web hosting provider. They won’t know anything about the migration either.

A: We can transfer your website from any web hosting provider or any Linux–based hosting platform provided that we can obtain access to the Control Panel and there’s File Transfer Protocol access available.The only websites that we are unable to migrate are those based on closed–source software apps such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square and Mr Site.
