A catch-all email mailbox is one that gathers all the email messages sent to non-existent addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an out-of-date email address or has made a typographical error. The drawback of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of unsolicited bulk messages, but this problem can be rectified by using anti-spam protection software. It is also important to bear in mind that a mailbox with an active catch-all functionality cannot forward incoming email messages to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud hosting platform and you have a web hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a lot of functions, but it’s remarkably user-friendly, so creating a catch-all mailbox requires only a click. All the email addresses that you have will be displayed in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll simply have to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the respective address. Our system will notify you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or select some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another mouse click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be enabled easily if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up with the domains hosted in the account will be shown in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will see a mini logo handily located directly next to each of them. With just one single click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this option using the menu that will appear. If any of the preconditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will inform you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
